At 7:30 the next morning we depart for the flamingo aviary at Celustun.. | ||
| On the way, we pass through villages where scenes such as the one pictured to the right may be seen. |

| After a boat tour of the flamingo aviary, we'll stop by a seafood restaurant to lunch on incomparable fresh fish and shrimp. | |||
| Then on to Oxkintok, a site selected
because of its Preclassic complex of buildings. The remarkable pieces
of artwork seen immediately below were discovered at this interesting but
little visited location.
The last professional attraction of the day will be the caves at Bolonchen where we will take in the sound and light show. Finally, we will drop by the panaderia in Pomuch for a delightful baked-in-bread sandwich, the village specialty. |
