Who is this tour for?

      Although the main focus of this tour will be the ancient Maya civilization, there will be plenty of activities of interest to spouses or friends of the archaeologically inclined. If you know nothing about the ancient Maya, come along and learn a lot.  If you already have read several works on the Maya, this tour will help all that disparate information snap into focus. 

Who supplies the archaeological knowledge?

     Dr. Armando Anaya was raised in Pittsburgh and received his PhD in archaeology from the famed program in ancient American studies at the University of Calgary.  See a video of Dr. Anaya lecturing students at Edzna here.
